This is the time of year when I’m getting really tired of winter. And I have this irrational desire to get rid of all my winter clothes. For no particular reason, I’m just tired of wearing them. And at the same time I don’t want to buy anything new. Not before spring, I mean…
Unfortunately, spring is still a long way off. And I’m desperately trying to find something inspiring in my wardrobe. Maybe unearth a piece I haven’t worn for a while but that I could call ‘a hidden treasure‘, with a bit of imagination… Or maybe I’ll just pull out all the favourites, sort of ‘best of” style…
Or maybe I’ll just pull out something, put it on, and hope that winter will soon be over…

I feel the same way about Winter. Hurry up and arrive, Spring!
And it's only February…
Love the mixing of prints you've done here!
Thanks, Imogen!
Thanks for linking up to the Ageless Style Linkup!
Thanks, Nicole.
I love your scarf! Such a gorgeous color and pattern! Also super cute matching the purple from your scarf in your umbrella.http://www.mylittlenest.org
Thanks! I got the scarf at an outlet sale for a song. And would you believe me if I said that the umbrella was an afterthought, that I just grabbed one on my way out?
I am eating breakfast and watching the morningnews, and they said it could feel like _8 today! I am so tired of layering and socks!
Oh dear… here it actually is -8… I don't really do layering (I'm writing this in Finland; always very warm indoors), I just get a really warm coat. It makes me look like the Michelin man, though…
I feel totally the same, can't wait for Spring to arrive, and the weather and clothes become brighter! Love your attire, especially the scarf. x Jacquiwww.mummabstylish.com
Thanks, Jacqui. Winter always lasts too long. The worst? loads of snow, very cold and brilliant sunshine…
I just shared something similar on my Instagram, I'm over the glumness of winter. Love your bright colours, which is the perfect way to fight back! Yvadney x #StyleSplash
Oh yes, I agree; we need something bright and colourful in winter.
I'm so ready for the spring! I love the scarf with the striped top. We would love to have you come linkup with us for The Weekly Style Edit. xo ~ Megan The Fashionista Momma
Oh spring! I can't wait… Thanks for the invite, will have to check it out.
Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. We have already 8 hours of daylight. What about you in Finland?
Thanks, Nicole. Well, here in the south we have a bit more, marginally. Maybe 9 hours… But at least the sun is shining!
I agree, go away Winter. You always have the best coats and umbrellas though. Love how colorful this outfit is. =)
Thanks, Ada. I don't actually have that many coats, I keep wearing (and posting) the same ones over and over again…
I love your scarf! And the fact that your coat is a gorgeous colour. How about making combinations of items that you have never worn together? Or start layering the lighter weight clothing with thermal tights and thin cashmere tops? I remember that you don't usually like layering – but just think, it could extend the window of wear for some of those garments you are missing! And much of your palettes for the different seasons overlap, so it should all work well together.
Thank you! Yes, maybe I should try and come up with new combinations… Although, I have actually quite a small wardrobe (by choice: I want to make sure I only buy stuff I actually wear), and only half of it available at (the other half being in my other home). And it's just so difficult to get motivated in late winter, when all you really want to do is hide all your winter clothes…
I understand! They say February is a cruel month. You look terrific, and thanks for linking up, xox-Pattihttp://notdeadyetstyle.com
Thanks, Patti! I don't know about cruel (I find March is the cruel one…), but it's often the coldest month…
You've put together a fabulously chic and stylish outfit, you look great. I'm so ready for Spring now…not long to wait. Thank you for linking up :-)Emma xxxwww.style-splash.com
Thanks, Emma. Oh yes, spring….
I had to smile to myself as I read this , I am looking forward to some cooler weather as I miss Winter dressing and layering, I know this is easy for me to say as our Winters are mild compared to yours. Your coats always add much needed colour to grey days. Hope you get sunshine soon.
Thanks, Jill. I wish we had your winters… These pictures were actually taken in the UK (not much sunshine there).
Gorgeous mix of colours here. Let's hope the sun starts to shine soon. When I get tired of clothes I store them away. Then give them another try. If it's a no go it's sold or given to charity. I'd love if you could pop over to my link up on Thursdays (evening) xwww.vanityandmestyle.com
Thanks, Laurie. I should definitely do that, too, store away some clothes. Or just sort through my clothes… Thanks for inviting me to your link-up, will definitely check it out.
