Would you wear this to work?
It’s a rather boring, plain outfit. There is absolutely nothing interesting about it. And it certainly doesn’t scream style blogger. It’s an outfit an average middle-aged woman with zero interest in style might wear when she needs to look ‘presentable’ but can’t be bothered to make an effort.
I often wear something like this, especially on days when I’m tired, or stressed, or busy with work. It’s OK, but I wish I could wear something with a little more oomph. However, that would take a lot more energy and creativity. And energy and creativity are luxuries that I can’t afford to spend on my style and outfits every day. Not when I have a million things to do, and a limited amount of time (and energy) to do them.
The truth is that I spend most of my energy and creativity doing important (relatively speaking) yet far less interesting things (than putting together fabulous outfits, that is). And the more important-yet-less-interesting-tasks there are on my to-do list, the fewer fabulous outfits there are in my life.
I suppose I should try to change that: take some time to think about style and be creative and inspired. But I won’t.
I don’t want to turn getting dressed in the morning into another chore on my to-do list. Because one thing I know: creativity cannot be forced. And when something becomes a chore, it ceases to be a pleasure. And I want to enjoy being more creative and inspired, when I have time and energy for it.
So, when life gets busy and there are too many things to do, I will continue to just roll out of bed, throw something on and get on with the drudgery of everyday life. Because the sooner I get it out of the way, the sooner I can recharge my energy and find pleasure in all things fabulous again.

Thanks, Jacqui.
I think that you look fab in your comfy&cool style, your skirt has an interesting print and texture, your t-shirt color is flattering and cute and your accessories match perfectly!. So not that bad for something you throw on yourself when you were in a rush! ;DI have some 'mínimum effort outfits' which are particularly useful in the summertime. My favorite combo is a striped t-shirt with printed pants and sneakers. Easy peasy! besos
Thanks!You can't go wrong with a striped t-shirt…
You look stunning in this outfit and color
Thanks, Nicole!

Thanks, Edwige! It's actually a maxi skirt, but now you put the idea of culottes in my head… Hmm, I see a shopping trip in my future…
