Lately I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired
As far as style is concerned, among other things. Well, It’s not totally unexpected. I mean, I always get into a bit of style rut in winter: wearing a limited set of clothes all the time. And I’m not talking about having a well-curated capsule wardrobe here; I’m talking about wearing the same old, same old, day after day.
Yes, I know: it’s only February (which is always the coldest month in Finland). But I’m beginning to feel as if the winter is never going to end. To say I’m tired of snow and ice and the cold is the understatement of the year. And it’s going to be at least another month of this. No wonder I’m starting to lose interest in how I look.
Yes, it really is that bad. To be honest, at this point I’m so fed up with all of my clothes that I have to fight the urge to just toss everything. Don’t worry, I won’t do that. Toss everything, I mean. I’m still rational enough to remind myself how much money I’ve spent over a number of years of accumulate my cashmere sweater collection…
Anyway, I’m struggling to put together an outfit that you haven’t seen a million times before. I think I’m beginning to repeat myself. Sure, I tend to wear just simple basics most of the time, quite happily even, but this is different. I’m getting bored.
It’s not that I’d like to wear something wild and unexpected; as I said, most of the time I’m quite happy wearing just basics (with fabulous accessories). I just want to put my winter basics away, so badly, and take out something more… summery.
Oh well, spring is just around the corner. Almost. A month or two. Right? RIGHT???
Oh crap, who am I kidding??? I’m trapped in the land of perpetual winter, fighting snow and ice, dreaming of a sunny day…

It s going to be 9 degrees here on Thursday. That feels like spring already!😂😂😂😂 But I know what you mean. Winter is so boring.
I'm envious, we're still below zero.
Even though our weather is not as cold as yours in Finland I'm fed up with it now. Yesterday it rained and hailed all day. I want to wear shoes and jackets instead of boots and big coats!Emma xxxwww.style-splash.com
Oh, I know the UK winter! It's not fun. To be honest, I'd rather spend winter in Finland (dry cold is easier to handle)…
I understand – by September in Florida I am ready to burn my tank tops and sandals!! Too long of any season makes for a strain on creativity. That said, I do like your "uniform" and cashmere sweaters are always lovely. xo-Pattihttp://notdeadyetstyle.com
Thanks, Patti. Yes, you get tired of the same old at some point. But I think we still have at least a month of winter left.
The Winter weather definitely has taken a toll on every one and clothes. Hang in there! Spring is just around the corner and we will get through this. I do love your coat and cashmere sweater! Such a perfect pair! Maureen | http://www.littlemisscasual.com
Thanks, Maureen. That's what I try to tell myself: spring will be here, too, eventually…
I'm so with you on this weather! We haven't had anywhere near the amount of snow, but I'm so over it! I want spring to start arriving now. Nice outfit, have a happy weekend. Jacquiwww.mummabstylish.com
Thanks, Jacqui. Yes, spring… I'm afraid for me (in Finland) that is still a very theoretical concept at this point…
i am with you on the cold! Granted your cold is much colder than my southern cold, but the bare trees and grey are what get to me! Spring is coming…Triina, love your pink bag and moto boots are fun too! You wear classics quite well!thanks for linking!jess xxwww.elegantlydressedandstylish.com
Thanks, Jessica. Yes, that's what I keep telling myself: spring is coming. Eventually. One day…
