It sure looks sunny
It is sunny… and windy, and sort of cold. The temperature stays obstinately at around 10 °C / 50 °F, with intermittent rain and wind. Typical Finnish spring, in other words.
But that means I don’t have anything to wear…
I know…. I’m probably not the first woman to utter that immortal sentence… but I really mean it.
I have lots of clothes appropriate for winter, or summer, even autumn. But spring… It’s as if I think we’re just going to jump right from winter into a summer heatwave. At least that’s the impression you get, looking at my wardrobe.
So, I probably need to go shopping. But then again, summer is just around the corner, wouldn’t it make more sense to get something nice for warmer weather? After all, how much longer can the unpredictable spring weather last? A week, two maybe… And with limited funds to spend on clothes, it just seems to make more sense to get some summer clothes…
See, this is how my reasoning goes. And now you know why you’re seeing this bottom-of-the-barrel outfit I dug up from the back of my wardrobe instead of something more inspiring.
Everything I’m wearing is old,old old…
top: Custo Barcelona / trench: Burberry / trousers: Marks and Spencer / shoes: Clarks / scarf: Zara / sunglasses: Tom Ford / bag: Chanel
But hey, summer is just around the corner, right?

Your trench is too fabulous. Love the unexpected color! Makes this classic piece so much more fun!
Thanks! I loved the colour, too, and bought the coat on the spur of the moment when I saw it (a long time ago…) and have been wearing it for years.
The beautiful spring coat serves to solve your problem, and with the nice shirt looks good.
Thanks. It's only around 10 degrees (celsius), so I will be wearing a coat for a while still…
Well here it is exactly like that. You don't know what to wear because one day it was winter, then it is suddenly 20°C. Then it drops again as soon as clouds pull up, but not all the way down anymore. Yet you don't really have much time to actually wear those midseason items either. The trench is cool so, great eye catching color. You can hide a lot of uninspiredness below that and the fancy scarf 😉 Stopping by from Visible Monday, have a nice week!Alex – Funky Jungle
Thanks! I love the colour, too. Yes, weather can be so unpredictable, and I feel my wardrobe is always missing something crucial.
Ha! You are one lucky lady when your Bottom-of-the-Barrel outfit is so vibrant and fresh!
Thanks! I wear the coat a lot, but the top hasn't seen any action recently, so I guess it was time to take it out for a spin.
I think you manage beautifully with "nothing to wear" : > Great look. Thanks or sharing with Visible Monday, xo.
Thanks, Patti! 'Nothing to wear' is code for 'I need to go shopping'… repeat that enough many times and shopping begins to seem like an inevitable necessity.
Found your blog thru Visible Monday. Great outfit. Perfect! Can you link it up here to the Top of the World Style linkup party? Thanks http://highlatitudestyle.com/2015/05/14/jill-e-review-linkup/
Thanks, Nicole! And thanks for inviting me!
The eternal nothing to wear problem , we all know it well. With that glorious coloured trench to top everything I'm sure you will manage. I also like your unusual top , also perfect for the weather. I must admit our Autumn , most of the time, has been rather mild, temperatures around 15c. I do hope that sunshine arrives soon.
Oh yes… We can have closets full of clothes and still have 'nothing to wear'… Maybe it's these in-between seasons, spring or autumn, that make us impatient, and the unpredictable weather makes it harder to find something suitable for the moment.
Love the color of your trench! It is a nice top as well, looks lovely on you. Here in Charlotte, sometimes we go from winter into summer. and just a bit of spring! It can be tricky sometimesThank you for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday!jess xxwww.elegantlydressedandstylish,com
Thanks, Jessica! I know, we have this sort of unpredictable weather sometimes, too. It might be snowing on Monday and everything is blooming on Saturday… or then spring is very slow and summer takes ages to arrive, like this year.
A terribly stylish "nothing to wear" outfit 🙂 The trench is gorgeous, and very suitable for spring! I do like the top as well – such a cute design! The weather in Denmark is possibly worse, we have very dark skies and lots of rain as well as similar temperatures – and wind 🙁 I hate being cold, and it's cold all the time here! My plants are rotting away in the garden, my sandals are turning to dust in the closet!
Thanks, Tine. The trench is one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe.Yep, weather… We have plenty of sunshine but it's still a bit cold… Let's hope the weather the improves soon, for both you and me.
That trench is everything, beautiful color!http://www.robincharmagne.com/blog
Thanks, Robin!
What a beautiful trench! The color is unexpected and makes it such a fun piece! Hope the weather warms up soon for you!JillDoused In Pink
Thanks, Jill! Yes, the colour is what made me buy the trench in the first place, I just loved it.
I am seriously in love with your trench and the lining on the inside of it!Carriecurlycraftymom.com
Thanks, Carrie!
