Life is a bit too hectic right now…
I’ve been feeling a bit stressed out lately. There just seems to be so much to do. And I’m not talking about just everyday life (you know: work, or trying to work from home, or trying to avoid catching the virus when commuting to work…), but everything else that is going on.
And by everything else I mean that we’re moving house in late November, and I’m just realising how much work it is going to be.
Yes, I know: I have almost two months… But I’m the type of person who wants to be prepared for anything that could happen. And by anything I mean anything that could go wrong. Because that’s who I am: the eternal pessimist…
So, when I’m not working, I’m obsessively making lists of everything I must remember to do, decluttering like my life depended on it (how can we still still have so much crap, I’ve been doing KonMari for 2 years now for heaven’s sake!), and hoarding packing materials like a crazy prepper auditioning for a bad reality show…
At this rate, in two months I’ll be a total basket case. With a burnout. The crazy woman sleeping in her assorted cardboard boxes because she tossed all her furniture in a fit of KonMari-induced frenzy…
And when I’m in a saner, less frantic mood, I fantasize about a fabulous new decor straight out of a magazine, or never having to stuff my clothes in a tiny closet again…
Anyway, this outfit is just something I put together quickly to run some errands, and we took the photos in approximately 2-5 minutes on the way to the train. It doesn’t get more real-life than that.
Outfit details:
hoodie: EDC / t-shirt: Custo Barcelona (old) / trousers: Zara (old) /
shoes: Ecco (old) / bag: Coach (old) / sunglasses: Woobs

How’s life been treating you lately?
PS: Bloglovin’ is still not updating this blog. Yes, I’ve asked them why. And yes, I’ve asked them to fix it. They don’t seem to be in a hurry to reply…

Moving is stressful! And its a good time to purge and try new ways of using what you keep. I started following you because my son lives in Kankaanpaa. We live in the US. He went to Finland for grad school in 2013 and never came back! He loves it there. I have been there and it is a lovely country.
Take care,
Donna.

Yes, that’s what happens to unsuspecting foreigners coming to Finland: they like it too much to leave, and we like them so much we want to keep them here… Let me guess: your son found a Finnish partner? Because that’s what usually happens (that’s what happened to my husband, too).
Yes he did!!
What a pretty backdrop for your pictures! Are you moving to a larger space or about the same? Moving definitely can become stressful! But I am sure you can do it!

Thanks!
We’re moving into a bigger flat, in a nicer area. So, it’s worth the stress. I guess.
You truly have artist’s eyes for colours, lovely outfit and wonderfully matching background. Those creepers can be breathtaking deep red this time of year, but this is also nice with all the colours.
About stress from moving, don’t stress about stressing now. Two months ahead is a very good time to be stressed about packing. You have time to decision about declutter and stress will make you to look into all closets and storages. It is far worse when you find out on the last week or day before moving out, that you still have one more huge storage room or cupboard to through. Been there also, thanks to my dear husband who has hard time to apart even with outdated magazines and such. -q

Thank you!
Yes, I think we have enough time to get everything sorted. And I’ve been decluttering for a couple of years already, so I got a bit of a head start. It just amazes me that in spite of all the decluttering I’ve done there’s still so much to get rid of… Where does all this stuff come from???
Such a cute outfit, Tiina! And that wall of leaves is amazing. I absolutely hate moving and hope to never do it again! I wish you much luck with all of it. I am not envious and I have no moving tips to share because I am terrible at decluttering, packing, and moving! Thanks for linking up with me.

Thanks!
Yes, moving is awful. I’ve lived in my current flat for almost 20 years, that’s longer than I’ve lived anywhere else. So, it’s quite a big change, but I’m really looking forward to it.
love this look. You are wearing my fav pants. They are so chic. I am always excited when you wear them. I can’t nail why. But they are so perfect on you.

Thanks, Nicole! Yes, I find these trousers are quite chic, too. The high-waisted, wide-leg style reminds me of the pictures of 1930’s beachwear, that’s what originally appealed to me.

Thanks, Jacqui.
Moving is so stressful, I hope I don’t have to do it again…unless it’s to retire somewhere warm! I love those polka dot trousers, and what a great backdrop for photos! We have virginia creeper on the side of our house but my husband won’t take photos there because he’d have to stand in the neighbour’s garden. Thanks for linking up!

Tell me about it… And the move is still 6 weeks away!
The pink bag is so nice with the burgundy pants! 🙂
We did our move last year and it was such a stressful time, I understand wanting to be as prepared as possible for it! Hope it goes smoothly for you 🙂
Hope that you had a great weekend 🙂 Thanks for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup!

Thanks! The pants are actually brown, but they may seem different on your screen.
