pop of colour

So, in the sprit of slow fashion, I thought I should post this black-and-white-with-a-pop-of-colour outfit again. You saw this combo with a scarf, boots and an umbrella. But it also works on a sunny day accessorized with a pair of (black and white) sunglasses. Oh, and the ‘umbrella’ in the bag is my sun umbrella (= what I use instead of sun screen to protect my skin).

Actually, these photos were taken when my ever-patient and talented photographer, Professor M (a.k.a ‘long-suffering husband’) and I were learning to use our fancy new camera. You see, for a while now the pictures taken with my old camera have been getting a bit fuzzy and unfocused. I tried to have it fixed, but it turns out there are no spare parts available for such an old model…

So, long story short, while we were in Germany (in July) and had a bit of time to shop around, we also got a new camera. And for the past few weeks we’ve been trying to learn how to use it (that’s why all the posts after my blogging break seem to have nice, clear photos again).

Don’t you just love the blurred background in this shot? I wish I knew how we managed to get that… Oh well, learning continues…

Thanks, Ruth! We’re still learning to use the camera, and long way off from mastering all the tricks. But so far I’ve been very happy with it, and the pictures really look so sharp.
