And I’m back…
In my comfort zone, that is. Berry tones and dark reds… Yep, that’s my comfort zone all right. I’m so predictable.
Can you believe that I have no less than 3 coats in this colour? That is, 3 down coats… One lightweight down jacket (that you’ve seen so many times that I’ve lost count long ago), one really long and thick coat that makes me look like a walking blanket, and this one.
It’s not that I haven’t tried to find a winter coat in another colour. In fact, I’ve been trying to replace the really long and thick one for years. But I haven’t found anything I like (read: you will be seeing the really long and thick coat soon again…).
It’s just that every time I go shopping for winter coats (= down coats, not wool coats), all I seem to find are boring coats in black, grey or navy. And I definitely don’t want a coat in such a dark colour. That’s just too much black / grey / navy for my taste…
So, given the somewhat limited selection available (because store buyers lack imagination), I naturally gravitate towards the one plum coat I see in the sea of dark coats…
Or maybe it is the comfort zone thing… After all, I’m very attached to mine. Comfort zone, that is…
So, plum and burgundy it is. At least for today.

I've only recently started wearing burgundy, and I like it. I used to find it a bit too dark, but now… Oh well, it's all about timing, I guess. A silk dress in burgundy sounds just divine.
