Can you guess what the favourite piece of the season is?
I’ve worn this green jacket so often this autumn, and with absolutely everything. It has quickly become a new favourite…
I always play favourites: the favourite bag, the favourite shoes, the favourite sunglasses, the favourite coat… Whichever item in my wardrobe happens to be the favourite-of-the-moment, I wear it, a lot, and all the time.
So, as you can see, I really don’t need a big wardrobe: I’m quite happy wearing the same clothes all the time. For a while, at least.
Of course, the weather eventually forces me to consider other options. And it’s getting a bit too cold for this jacket now…
Speaking of favourites, what do you think of my new sunglasses? I bought them on a whim, when I happened to pass by a new shop. There were several styles on display, but I zoomed in on this pair immediately.
Yes, playing favourites again: for some reason I’m always drawn to cat eye sunglasses. The bigger, the better. Seriously: you can show me dozens of pairs of sunglasses, and I only see the one pair of cat eye sunglasses among them…
Am I set in my ways? You bet! Is it a problem? Not really. I choose to see it as knowing what I like. That sounds so much better than saying I’m in a style rut, don’t you think?

Thank you! The scarf is one of my favourites, too.
This layering look is so nice. The dress from summer under a sweater and a parker. Great styling.

Thanks, Nicole!
Totally support that you enjoy a favourite jacket as many times as possible!, actually, I like to encourage anybody to wear whatever they like and repeat same clothes without worries!. And your jacket looks really fabulous, comfy, waterproof, great color and shape!. Love it with those red accents on your cardi and scarf, and the lovely striped dress!. Such a great ensemble!
Love your comfy&cool style!

Thanks! This jacket has been extremely practical and just what I needed: rainproof, windproof and goes with anything. The only ‘problem’ is that now it’s getting a bit too cold, and I need to wear something warmer.
FUN sunnies! We are just starting jacket weather, and lightweight will be more than enough for most of winter as well. (Unless it’s an unusual year.) I, too, am happy to wear current faves over and over again; that’s why I’m happy with a small-ish capsule wardrobe. Next season I’ll put away some of the overworn faves and rediscover some old friends that have been in the storage box… New and old all at the same time!

Thanks!
Oh, I envy you, I’d like to be able to wear just a jacket all winter…
It’s a good idea to put some clothes in storage for a while and then rediscover them later. I remember many times when I was totally ‘over’ a piece of clothing or a bag, put it away for a year (or two) and then suddenly rediscovered it and fell madly in love with it.
Tiina, you are totally not a style rut kind of person! You do know what you like and you wear it all so well. I love cat eye glasses but they never look quite right on my face, so I will just admire yours! And your green jacket is perfect as it seems to really go with everything you wear. I love the bold stripes on your dress and the beautiful deep red cardigan. Great look! Thanks for linking up!

Thanks! I’m wearing the green jacket with everything also because I’m trying to downsize my wardrobe and simplify my life (easier said than done, the latter part in particular). I’m a minimalist at heart, and I began thinking that I really don’t need (or want) several coats and jackets for the same purpose but could, and should, do with less.
Love that scarf, one of my favourite pieces of accessorie. Looks great with that stripy skirt. Thanks for adding to the #linkup Jacqui x

Thanks, Jacqui.
Nothing wrong with playing favourites , I often do the same wear things all the time then put them away , bring them out a season or two later and enjoy again. Love those sunnies, always love a cats eye.

I do the same: put some clothes away for a while. I know I like them, so I don’t want to get rid of them even though they they don’t feel ‘right’ at the moment.
Yes, cat eye sunnies are the best…
Love your sunglasses! Love the cat eye style. Your green jacket was a good purchase for you. I love when I buy something and really make good use out of it. I don’t consider you to be in a rut. I play favorites too with my wardrobe. I think everyone does to a certain extent. That just means you chose the right item for your wardrobe and that’s smart. Yes, it’s getting cooler here too but I can still wear my lightweight jackets for awhile. Cheers! Arlene from NJ

Thanks, Arlene.
Yes, he jacket turned out to be a good purchase. I guess I always feel that I would like to have a very minimalist wardrobe, just the necessities, and wear them to bits. I’m fooling myself, of course; even I need some variety in my clothes from time to time.
They are such fun sunnies and I can see why you love that coat – I hope you get in a few more wears from it before it gets too cold! 🙂
Hope that you had a great weekend 🙂 Thank you so much for joining the #weekdayWearLinkUp 🙂

Thanks, Mica! Sunglasses are my weakness; there’s always room for a new pair.
