So, I’m back home (and back to work), and my lovely holiday in Madeira is quickly turning into a distant memory…
OK, maybe I’m exaggerating a bit; it’s only been a few days, after all. But waiting for the train at the crack of dawn, ankle-deep in snow and slush, sort of makes winter seem very real suddenly…
So, this is probably a very good time to post a few holiday wardrobe pictures. You know, to remind myself that I have some nice clothes, too (because by now I’m a bit fed up with all my so-called winter clothes). And to remind you that ‘the walking blanket’ is not the only look I can put together…
Right, the holiday wardrobe…
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you know that I’m rather low-maintenance when it comes to clothes (or hair, or make-up…). And when I’m on holiday… well, let’s just say a holiday is the perfect excuse to simplify everything even further. In other words, my holiday wardrobe mainly consists of mix-and-match t-shirts and relaxed trousers or skirts. Which results in outfits like these two:
Outfit 1 details:
cardigan: Noa Noa / t-shirt: Garcia Jeans (old) / trousers: Zara (old) /
bag: Furla (old) / shoes: Ecco (old) / sunglasses: Dolce and Gabbana (old)
Outfit 2 details:
t-shirt: Zadig & Voltaire (old) / skirt: Rue de Femme /
sunglasses: Nina Ricci / bag: Samsonite
Of course, I packed a few statement pieces, too.
But let’s save that for another time…

I agree simplifying for a holiday is a good way to go. These are chic simple looks, I think graphic t-shirts look like you aren’t trying overly hard, but look put together, anyway.

Thanks, Kimberly.
I should have read this before my recent trip away when I over packed and struggled with my heavy suitcase! I packed high maintenance and only wore 1/2 the stuff I took! xx Maria

Oh, that happens to me, too! I always pack much more than I actually wear. And I always forget to pack something I would have needed, too…
These polka dot pants are so cool. Love all your outfit suggestions. Thanks for joining the party.

Thanks, Nicole. The polka dot pants are also extremely comfortable, like wearing pyjamas…
I always love your street style my friend. Great t-shirts. Love you in browns and burgundies. Hope your holidays were fantastic, Tiina. =)

Thanks, Ada. Brown is definitely a ‘new’ colour for me, but I like it, more and more.
I’m loving these colours on you – looks like you had a fab time! Thanks for sharing! Donna 🧚🏻♀️❤️🙏 donnadoesdresses.com

Thanks, Donna! Yes, it was a great holiday, just too short…
Aren’t they always?! Enjoy your weekend!! Donna 🧚🏻♀️❤️🙏 donnadoesdresses.com
Beautiful area Tiina! I know what you mean about simplifying on vacation. No need to have so many clothes, as I figure, who sees me? Wear the same dress twice.. etc. Love these colors on you, the brown pants with the burgundy look great and those earrings! I can’t stop looking at those!
thanks for linking!

Thanks, Jessica! This is my favourite pair of earrings. I got these earrings in Berlin years ago, they’re made of rose gold leather and weigh absolutely nothing.
lovely color combos in both outfits!, I like particularly the warm colors in the first one and the cute earrings and bag. And your beautiful skirt too!
