Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been more keen to see the year come to an end. I’m sure this year has been tough for a lot of people for a lot of reasons, but for me personally, it has been extremely hard. So, I’m more than happy to see the back of it, so to speak.

A new year, a new beginning… Of course, to call something ‘new‘ in this context and in this sense is only symbolic; most of us just continue with the same old routine. Still, ‘new’ beginnings, even symbolic ones, are important: they give us an illusion that we can start over, take charge of our lives, fix what needs to be fixed, change course, and do something different this time.

No, I’m not planning a major overhaul; just hoping that next year will be better, whatever that means.

I know I’ve been a very bad blogger for the past few months, and I’m afraid I will continue to be for a while still. However, I would nonetheless like to take this opportunity to thank you for reading and following this blog, and I hope that you will be patient with me and my sporadic posts next year, too.

Merry Christmas and Happy new Year!

I was glad to see a post from you and know you’re recouperating. Love your blue coat! It looks so warm. It’s freezing here in NJ (US) today. We got some snow yesterday. Where I live we got about 5 inches or so. Not too bad. But the temperatures are low and the snow can’t melt. Thanks for posting and hope you will post again some time in the future when you feel up to it. Greetings and Happy New Year from Arlene in NJ.
