It’s all in the details…

It’s been an exhausting month…

Well, it’s been an exhausting year, for everybody. However, it seems that a month has gone by so quickly, and now it’s almost Christmas. And that means taking a little break, so that we can slow down and rest for a bit.

But before that, I wanted to show you a bit more of the new flat. Of course, this is still very much a work-in-progress, and probably will be for quite some time still. But then again, life is a work-in-progress…

Anyway, I’ve been living with clutter (i.e. cardboard boxes, packing, unpacking etc.) for so long now that it was really starting to affect my mood. Chaos makes me anxious and irritable. Especially now, with a busy work schedule, all the uncertainly around Covid19, the world going crazy with identity politics and polarization (don’t get me started…), ‘the new normal’  turning into ‘the same old shit’…

What I’m trying to say is that I need a clutter-free environment to function. Or perhaps I just need my own little corner of the universe, a safe haven from the big bad world, that I can control.

As far as the flat is concerned, I don’t know yet where all the pieces will fit in (or even what the pieces will be), but I feel that there’s definitely a sense of direction. So, while the big picture might still be a bit fuzzy, some of the details are taking shape.

And  if you think about it, what is ‘the big picture‘ if not just a collection of details that come together, like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, until they form a coherent whole?

Merry Christmas!

I look forward to seeing you in 2021.

Congrats on making the move okay, although I know it will take a while to settle everything, unpack and find places. I hope you get some sense of of organisation soon 🙂 I still have moments of wondering where things go or where things are and we have been in this house over a year and a half, haha!

Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! The last link up for the year is live on my blog now if you want to link up again.

Hope that you had a wonderful Christmas! 🙂
