It’s windy…
but not cold, really. In Finland +20 ºC / 68 ºF is considered normal summer temperature, though not particularly warm. Personally, I find that to be the ideal temperature, anything higher and I start overheating very quickly…
The wind makes the day seem much colder, of course, and a photo shoot by the sea proved to be particularly challenging…
I’ve been back to Helsinki now for a about 36 hours, after my wonderful trip to Vancouver (I will be posting more touristy photos a bit later) and two hectic, sleep-deprived days in Britain. Jet-lagged? Oh sure… I hope to recover enough for Monday afternoon to make some sense, or at least appear like an intelligent person when I get back to work. Wish me luck…
What I’m wearing today could be labeled ‘whatever was clean and came out of the suitcase somewhat wrinkle-free’:
trousers: marks and Spencer (old) / t-shirt: Jigsaw (old, seen before many times, e.g. HERE and HERE) / pashmina: Beck Söndergaard (old, seen before HERE) / bag: Adolfo Domingueuz (seen in just about every other post this summer…) / sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana / shoes: Van Dal (seen before HERE and HERE)
What about you, are you only starting your summer holiday or getting back to work already?
Tiina

That scarf is beautiful. You have a skillful way of wearing scarves that I admire.
Thanks, Ally! That's so sweet of you to say that.
Gorgeous scarf. The print is amazing! Can't get over your Summer temps. Here in Oz it's a very different story :-)All the best for your return to work and the loss of jet lag. Jazzy Jack
Thanks you. Well, summer here in the north is cool and short… It does get hot, too… sometimes. We just look at the calendar: if it's June, July or August, it's summer, never mind the weather…
The colours and print in your wrap are just lovely . It certainly looked a windy day, I call 20c cool for Summer. Hope your return to work goes smoothly.
Thanks, Jill! Well, 20C is pretty good here, 25 is considered hot… Basically, anything over 16 is fine, let's get the summer clothes out…
A beautiful scarf that combines perfectly with the rest of the look. Some funny pictures.
Thank you!
Welcome to my world–the world of wind! Always love that blue color on you. Very pretty print on the scarf–oceanic, for sure.
Thanks! Yep, it gets pretty windy here at times… even on a (rather) warm summer day! Well, by the sea, I suppose that's a given…
Your weather sounds similar to ours. We alternate between that and then the temperature shooting up to 28 and no breeze at all. Your scarf is very pretty. I like to wear scarves as a wraps as well. It's very convenient for those breezy moments and unlike a cardigan, I can stuff a scarf into my bag easily.
Summer can be a bit unpredictable: rainy and cold(ish), or sweltering hot, or anything in between… Yes, big scarves are very practical. And perfect for travel! Well, it's easier to pack several scarves than several jackets, for sure.
I would take some of your weather! As it can be stiffling hot here in the 90s! Love the pics as you are a great sport with the wind. Pretty blue shades on you! Thanks for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday!jess xxwww.elegantlydressedandstylish.com
Thanks, Jess! I don't do well with hot weather, so I don't mind a bit of a breeze. But it was incredibly windy that day. And even though it was warm (temperature-wise), the wind made it quite chilly, I was happy I had long sleeves.
I like blue and white together, but would not have been able to resist throwing in a red bag. I had no jetlag, not going to Vancouver and not coming back. Isn't that wonderful? So I have been up and running full time since Tuesday the 28th. And ai like temperatures to be around 21/22 degrees as well.Greetje
Blue and white… makes me feel so patriotic. Aren't you lucky, no let lag! It always hits me really hard. Hell, I even suffer from jet lag when I travel between Finland and Britain, and the time difference is only 2 hours…
Fun pictures! I love the one where you turned your head… The scarf is beautiful! I'm very much like you and I prefer mild temperatures. 73 (23) is my favorite for Summer. 75 is nice. When it gets to 80, it starts feeling hot. It's funny – I experienced hot weather, but I barely experienced Summer this year… it has been so busy and just too hot for my liking. I don't think I especially succeeded with finding out what is my favorite way to dress for hot days. No clothes at all, I think, is my favorite. :))) Can't wait for our family vacation.
Thanks, Natalia! Milder temperatures, always better. But now that I'm back to work, it seems the summer is finally here, and I have a new challenge: staying cool and comfortable at work…
