Breton Stripes
We all have our addictions… Mine are cat videos, trench coats, and Breton stripes.
Yes, I’m addicted to Breton stripes. Not a surprise, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while. And if you’re new to Elegance Revisited, you might enjoy this little sample of outfits built around navy and white stripes.
OK, let’s start with a Breton top with a wool coat and a scarf… That’s practically my winter uniform, isn’t it?
Blue and navy stripes and my old Burberry trench, it doesn’t get better than that:
Unless it’s a stripy t-shirt and a yellow parka on the beach, of course:
Or a Breton top and an A-line skirt, topped off with a red bag:
But stripes also add some casual cool to capes / ponchos:
How about some tone-on-tone pattern mixing?
So, are these all the outfits with Breton stripes I’ve worn on the blog? Actually no: there are a few more. But I think this little sample is enough to expose the extent of my stripe addiction…
How do you wear Breton stripes?

Thanks, Greetje!
And you are very on trend right now!
Yes, that's true! But then again, a Breton top is a classic, really, it's always on trend.
Yes you are addicted to stripes : ) I never used to wear them but have developed more of a taste for them. As you've show here so well, they go with everything.bisousSuzanne
I wonder of there are 12-step programmes for stripe addicts?
I wear Breton stripes all-the-time! I tend to mix them with patterns a lot but forgot how great it looks with bold solids. Thanks for the great pics and new ideas!
Yes, stripes are easy to mix with patterns, too. Pattern mixing is not really my thing, I tend to be very careful with it. But stripes make it easy.
You have a lot of great striped shirts and outfits you've come up with… and, you have SO many jackets/coats in such great colors! Love it!Carriecurlycraftymom.com
Well, living in a cold climate you need a few coats. trust me, by late winter I always HATE all of my coats and think I need to get a few new ones.
Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. These stripes are so versatile. I like them best with jeans and a scarf
That's my favourite outfit too: stripes and jeans and a scarf.
I've got a bit of a stripe issue myself; I just wore them today as a matter of fact! I found you through your interview with Ally and I wanted to stop by and say "hello" since it seems you and I have a lot of the same thoughts on people and life in general. :)Debbiewww.fashionfairydust.com
Thanks, Debbie! I'm glad you stopped by.
Great styling! I love your look with the purple coat!
Thanks! Stripes are so versatile, they really go with anything. That coat is a favourite of mine, I wear it a lot.
Oh YES…stripes are my fave and I love how you paired them with all that bold color!
Thank you! I love stripes, especially with bold colour.
After my pick of the petites striped/nautical post of today, you know how much a fan I am of the good old breton top. It's just so easy to wear and I love your combinations. I share your striped addiction. So hello, I'm Petite Silver Vixen and I'm a stripe-aholic too!
Maybe we need some sort of a support group or a 12-step programme for stripe-a-holics…
fabulous style!, love breton stripes and love how you rock them with elegance and attitude!besos
Stripes rock!
I don't own any Breton stripes (insert sad face) so I really need to up my game and try it as I see that it goes with everything. You look great Tiina! You are welcome for the feature. Thank you for linking up to "Bloggers Who Have Inspired Me"Rachel xohttp://garaytreasures.comre!
Thanks, Rachel! Yes, Breton stripes are very verasatile and you get a lot of wear out of them, so well worth a try. But I'm a bit biased, and of course…
