Remember the cropped pinstripe trousers? Yes, one of those impulse purchases that I just had to get even though I had no idea how to style them… Well, it turns out that the trousers might prove to be quite useful, after all. Or something that I really needed for my travel wardrobe on my recent trip to Madeira…
The trousers are made of viscose, so they work well for warmer weather, too. And the wide-leg, cropped style can easily be dressed up or down. Oh, I do love clothes that can be dressed up or down!!!
So, how can we dress down pinstripe trousers? Well, I’ve always thought pinstripe would look good with black leather, so a biker jacket might be a good idea. And comfortable shoes, of course. What do you think?
Outfit details:
leather jacket: Karen Millen (old) / trousers: Monki / t-shirt: Garcia Jeans / bag: Coach
scarf: Alexander McQueen (old) / shoes: Ecco / sunglasses: Dolce and Gabbana (old)
location: Casino da Madeira, Funchal
And how could we dress them up, then?
Let’s get back to that one on Sunday…

That s the way I love to wear trousers! With a bit of an edge!
I couldn't agree more: I need some edge, too.
Lovely, thanks for sharing. Cute scarf too. Jacquiwww.mummabstylish.com
Thanks, Jacqui. I have the same scarf in several colours… Almost as if I was collecting them, huh?
lovely outfit, I like that comfy&cool attitude, and the subtle color combo of accessories. Your jacket and comfy shoes are fabulous to dress down a pair of trousers. You could wear them with a satiny black top or something with texture, sequins, embroideries, and a pair of black boots and look really dress up!besos
Thanks, comfy and cool, that's my game. Dressing up is always a bit more of a challenge, though, but let's see what I can do.
I like how you did this. i also love those shades, too cute! ~ xo ShereePosh Classy Mom
Thanks, Sheree.
I'm with you Tiina, I love clothing that can be dressed up or down, so much more versatile. The striped pants work beautifully with the moto jacket, comfy shoes and scarf and white tee. Happy 2018 Tiina.
Happy 2018, Jill!I don't want a huge wardrobe, so everything I own must be versatile enough to work in several outfits. Less is more, in that sense, too.
Happy New Year Tina. Pin-stripe pants are hard to style, but you did a nice job. This outfit look not stiff at all. Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style.
Thanks, Nicole. Happy New Year!
Such a cool way to wear pin-strips! Love that you have made smart trousers so wearable! x
Thank you!
I do love a good pinstripe, Tiina, styled up, down, or anywhere in between! The moto jacket is the perfect topper for this look and the pants are just fabulous! Thanks so much much for linking up with me!Shelbeewww.shelbeeontheedge.com
Oh, I love pinstripe! Especially when dressed down, more rock than business, right?

Thanks, Jessica. In my wardrobe everything has to be versatile, I like to keep the number of items down. Downsizing, in a way.
