Greetings from Barcelona!
So, I was in Barcelona over Easter, which you probably know if you’ve been following my photo journal (which is simply one of my 3 Instagram feeds. Yes, a girl really needs 3 Instagram accounts… a bit obsessive, I know).
Anyway… Barcelona is one of my favourite cities, and I’ve been visiting it once or twice a year for longer than I can remember. And I still find it fascinating and look forward to going back. I like the idea that I already ‘know’ the place I’m visiting. I guess I’m not much of an explorer: I find it more relaxing when I can revisit more or less familiar places. And Professor M loves revisiting his favourite restaurants and shops, too…
As you can see, the weather was very windy. It was a bit rainy, too. And although it wasn’t exactly cold, I wouldn’t call it warm, either. Ironically, it was both sunnier and warmer back in Helsinki…
Not that weather would diminish my love for Barcelona (although I’ve never been there in winter…). There’s always plenty to see and do. And there’s always a reason to go back. And I will, in June.
Outfit details:
poncho: Marja Kurki / t-shirt: Custo Barcelona (old) / trousers: Ril’s /

I think that your t-shirt looks very appropriate for a walk in Barcelona!, love its design!
Lovely color combo and lovely style, comfy&cool!, and I’m glad to see that your new sneakers are mixing nicely into it!. Your poncho totally rocks and I love particularly the cute bag, a touch of color and so delightfully matchy!
besos

Thanks! I like Custo Barcelona designs, and I have. couple of t-shirts. This one is my favourite, and I’ve featured on the blog so many times that I’ve lost count long ago.
The Adidas sneakers are proving very versatile: they work with a lot of my outfits. And I was wearing them non-stop on this trip!
I used to live 2 hours from Barcelona and we would visit quite often. Even had a overnight field trip there in high school! I am flying into Barcelona next month but since hotels were too expensive for our family of 6, we will be staying a lil more north in Girona for a couple days.
Lovely outfit!

Oh, that sounds interesting! I’ve never been to Girona (a brief visit to Sitges and Montserrat years ago is all I’ve seen of Catalonia outside Barcelona), but I would love to tour a bit of the countryside, too. I usually spend just a few days in Barcelona once or twice a year, and I love it. It’s a great place for a city break.
aaaahhhhhhhh, how I envy you!!!!! I have a senior dog and find myself unable to travel at this time…….I live vicariously through others so, thanks for sharing!!!!! Someday…………………………………………………………….

Oh, I understand. I wish I had a pet (I’m allergic, so it’s not in the cards). I spend a lot of time watching kittens and puppies on Instagram, instead…
Oh how lovely. Never actually been to Barcelona, only flew into enroute to L’Escala which is north of Gerona. Great outfit with so much interest. Thanks for sharing on the #linkup Jacqui Mummabstylish

Oh, you should visit Barcelona! The architecture alone is worth a visit. Then there’s the shopping, food… you can have a city break and a beach holiday all in one.
Absolutely loving that cover up! The colour is gorgeous! We were in the Costa Brava for Easter too – incidentally, the weather was a lot warmer when we returned from holiday that week… cover up’s definitely needed on holiday 🙁 Hope you had a fantastic time though! Sim x

Thank you! I had a great holiday. And I’m going back there soon!
I always take this poncho with me when I travel (or one of my ponchos: I have this exact same style in 5 different colours…) as it goes with anything and it’s perfect for those cooler evenings.
You are looking wonderful even in the weather. I like all of the mix–yellow shoes, lovely pink/red poncho. I think my favorite destination would be in our Smokey Mountains. Have a great weekend!

Thanks, Kim! Smokey Mountains sounds great, too. How do you get there?
I’ve travelled a bit around the U.S., too, but I find it a bit difficult as so many places are only accessible if you have a car (and I haven’t driven a car for over 30 years). So, these short city breaks are very convenient for me.
Hi Tiina, I’ve never been to Barcelona but my daughter and her husband have and she loved it. She’s always wanted to go back. Your poncho is a pretty color and I bet you were glad you brought it with you. Never knew it could be cold there. I always pictured it to be warm all the time. Don’t know why. Glad you had a great getaway and how nice you are going back soon. Arlene from NJ

Barcelona is really special, there’s so much to see and do. But I’m a bit biased: I keep going back!
It was actually quite cold there, and windy. It was a lot warmer back home!
Never have been there, so I enjoy reading some of the travels of others! Lovely outfit, perfect for stolling and walking around the area. Love the mix of vibrant colors, especially the bag

Thanks, Jess. You should definitely visit Barcelona if you ever get a chance.
Such a colourful outfit, love the poncho with the colours in the print of your tee! I’ve never been to Barcelona but would love to visit one day!
Thank you so much for joining the #weekdayWearLinkUp 🙂
Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend 🙂
