I don’t know what to call this
A cold snap? It’s still (mostly) above freezing, only marginally colder than it’s been so far. And we’ve had some snow. Or perhaps I should say sleet. Whatever it is, it turns into slush almost immediately.
Maybe it’s Mother Nature having a nervous breakdown, or dementia. I mean, this is the weather we should have had 3 months ago. But now… It’s March, for heaven’s sake! It’s not as if I’m expecting spring weather (it’s only March, after all), but come on!
So, as it was a bit colder, and it was snowing, I decided to take my new winter coat out for a spin. I’ve only worn this coat a couple of times this winter. Can you believe it???
It’s been so unusually warm all winter; it’s almost as if Mother Nature had mistaken our Nordic latitudes for something a bit more southern. And now that she’s finally realised her error, she sends us a blizzard or two every few days, to make up for the missing winter weather. In March.
As I said, dementia…
Anyway… In order to spruce up this very practical and casual outfit, I decided to take one of my favourite necklaces for a little spin, too:
Outfit details:
coat: Joutsen / top: Vila (old) / trousers: Cut & Pret /
shoes: Nero Giardini / bag: Coach Old) / necklace: Björn Weckström for Lapponia
Tiina
So, what do you think?
Is Mother Nature having a nervous breakdown, or she getting demented?

Yes, the weather is weird! In Finland March is a winter month, but at this rate we’ll see some spring flowers soon.
lovely necklace and lovely coat too (sorry you couldn’t enjoy it properly!).
Once more, climate is going bananas!

Thanks! Oh well, I’m sure there will be colder winters, too, in the future…
I agree with you on the weather. It has been….., odd! Your winter coat looks like it’s up to the task! What an unusual necklace. Love the little pop of green.

Thanks!
The necklace is by Björn Weckström (the famous ‘Princess Leia necklace’ is one of his designs, too).
Beautiful necklace, great coat, and fun outfit for remaining stylish and warm during Mother Nature’s loss of her mind. I think maybe she is just really angry with us…because we kind of suck and have been very cruel to her. Thanks for linking up!

Thanks! Yes, we can’t blame Mother Nature for being angry… But does she have to be so passive-aggressive about it?!?
Haha! I think she has made a shift now to full on aggression based on the current state of things!

You might be right!
That pendant necklace is such an interesting find. It also goes so well with the burgundy/purple pieces of your wardrobe. Looks like it’s still bitter cold in Finland. We still have double digits negative temperatures. It’s the longest winter since I moved to Alaska. I mean the longest with double digit negative temperatures.

Thanks, Nicole. The necklace is a design piece and made of silver, by a rather well-known designer. It’s one of my favourites.
It’s not cold here at all. Here in the south, we’ve had a couple of days when the temperature barely dipped below 0 for a while. This was one of those days. We also had some snow, but it was gone the following morning.
You’ve had the longest winter; we haven’t had winter at all…
I like the navy and red together and it’s great you got to give your winter coat another wear even if you were expecting warmer spring like weather!
Hope that your week is off to a good start 🙂 Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup!

Thanks! The weather has really been unpredictable, and unusual for this time of year. Oh well, spring will come, eventually…
