Casual, relaxed, easy…
That’s what we want from our holiday or weekend outfits, right? No fuss, just get dressed and go. Easy-peasy separates that can be mixed and matched are the cornerstone of any wardrobe, of course, but they could just as well be all you need in your wardrobe, especially in summer.
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you probably know that I have a really serious aversion to ironing… And if I don’t really iron my work clothes, I’m certainly not going to iron my more casual clothes. And as I commute between two homes, I need my clothes to multitask and lend themselves to several different outfits, from casual to smart casual. You see, I don’t really spend much time packing, either: I just toss something into a suitcase and go.
This is what I wear on most days: cropped trousers and a t-shirt, a jacket or a cardigan and flat shoes. And as there are quite a few of the above-mentioned clothes in my wardrobe, all I have to do is choose the colour combinations I like on a given day.
And what I wanted to do here is put together a relaxed, casual look in my favourite colour combo of blue and green. Of course, it should be suitable for the somewhat unpredictable British weather: sunny and warm one moment, cool and rainy the next.
I’m wearing:
t-shirt: H&M / trousers: Marks and Spencer / cardigan: Gap / sunglasses: Miu Miu /
shoes: Van Dal / bag: Adolfo Dominguez
Do you like mixing and matching separates?
Tiina

Hey, I've seen those pants! In person! They're really cute and the outfit coheres. I probably don't need to compliment you on your sunglasses 'cause you already know they're fabulous. 🙂
Thanks, Ally! Yes, the pants… they go with anything, right?
I love the pineapple shirt! I am almost picked up when I was in H&M the other day. It looks great paired with the printed pants. Thanks for linking up for Turning Head Tuesday. xo ~ Megan The Fashionista Momma
Thanks! I don't often shop at H&M, but I found these sequined t-shirts fun…
This is such a fun tee! I love anything with pineapples, especially sequined pineapples!-Katiehttp://hellokatiegirl.blogspot.com/
Thanks, Katie!
Never thought I would see you in a H&M T-shirt. LOL But I admit, it looks fantastic. The whole outfit is elegant and relaxed. I presume, just as you like it. Fantastic sunglasses as well. You said you collect them?Following you now, you nice lady.Greetje
Thanks, Greetje! Yes, you're right, H&M is not exactly my scene. But every now and then… And sunglasses… I have an embarrassing number of sunglasses. No woman needs that many. And I've bought 3 pairs this summer… It's not a collection, it's an addiction.
Hi ! Love the outfit, the print of the pants and the casual tee, pineapples do say yum to summer!I am about to go on vacation, and there will be casual days for sure! Thanks for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday!jess xxwww.elegantlydressedandstylish.com
Thanks, Jess! Yes, fun clothes for summer make a fun vacation.
I love those pants and they really do have an elegant and relaxed vibe to them. I suppose mixing and matching separates is the only thing I do. I don't have too much luck getting dresses that fit and I never purchased a matching outfit. My brain is not working well today but let's pretend I articulated three more compliments because I do keep on looking the picture and admiring your whole look. 🙂
Thanks, Shawna! I have quite a few dresses, too, but separates just make more sense at the moment (travelling…). My brain is a total mess: jet lag, lack of sleep, long flights… I can hardly put together a sentence.
I always love your so classy but casual outfits, Tiina . The colours are perfect on you . I do love these sunnies , we both do have a bit of a thing for them. I too am a fan of separates, I just find them fit wise easier for me. Glad you enjoyed Vancouver , another place I visited long ago , I did enjoy revisiting through your IG.
Thanks, Jill. Yes, separates seem the easier option now, for many reasons. But I do need to add a few new colours, just for fun. I loved Vancouver, and will be posting more about it, after I get my photos and thoughts organised.

I do not like ironing too but it's become part of daily ritual. My closet is just way too overstuffed that everything comes out wrinkled. I envy that you don't need to iron and great casual outfit!Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you next week. Alicewww.happinessatmidlife.com
Overstuffed closets, the story of my life… I'm just lazy, I can't be bothered to iron.
