How to wear leopard print?
Well, I only wear the more neutral colours in very small doses, in accessories, because brown and beige tones do not really suit me. They wash me out and make me look as if I’m suffering from a serious illness or something.
My face needs colour, bright colour. And you, my dear readers, also want to see me in colour, preferably in something red or fuchsia. How do I know this? Well, I just have to look at the most popular posts listed on the sidebar…
So, colour it is.
If you’re going to wear colour, be bold… No, I did not learn that from my mother. She has been a great influence on my style, but my love of colour does not come from her. It’s my own, sometimes larger-than-life personality that needs a dose of bright colour every now and then. And leopard print is no exception. Who says leopard print has to be brown and beige?
I’m wearing:
jersey dress: L.K.Bennett (old, seen before HERE) / shoes: Clarks (old) /
bag and sunglasses: Chanel / necklace : Andiata (old)

So pretty! You look great. I learned these two lessons (be bold; leopard-print is fun in non-brown colors) a few years ago and have a blue leopard-print scarf. Good for you to dress so dramatically. It's very attractive.
Thanks, Ally! I've only tried the 'natural' toned leopard print quite recently, in very small doses. And I agree, leopard print is fun in colour. After all, I do have a few items in pink leopard print…
Love this leopard print and you're right – it lights up your face beautifully. xo
Thanks, Patti. I guess my face just needs colour…
You look fantastic. I'm sure many heads turned when you walked down the street in this dress!
Thank you, so sweet of you to say that!
Absolutely beautiful dress, looks stunning on you. The colour, I agree, adds so much life.
Thanks, Melanie. Yes, colour is a must.
I know exactly what you mean about certain colours making you look as if you have an illness – certain shades of yellow do that to me! So yes, colour next to the face makes you look vibrant. The colour in the leopard print on you is fabulous on you.
yes, it's amazing, isn't it? Colour can have a huge effect. Not just on the way you look but also on your mood.
Great dress…although I might argue that there is a shade of browns that would look good with your complexion…it's one of my theories!! jodiewww.jtouchofstyle.com
Thanks! Well, I guess brown doesn't really go with my personality, either…
Looking wonderful Tiina in this gorgeous dress in the perfect colour leopard print for you. I agree , mostly we know which colours work and those that simply don't.
Thanks, Jill. Yes, I agree: we know our best colours, and when we wear them we look (and feel) our best.
I agree, be bold! I love this color of leopard print as well as the dress style. Looking fabulous, my dear.
Thanks, Trina!
I adore this dress! I want one : ) For me I think the bolder the better.bisousSuzanne
Thanks, Suzanne! Yes, sometimes bolder is better.
Simply stunning look!Shaunawww.lipglossandlace.net
Thanks, Shauna!
I'm like you in that the colours in the usual leopard print don't look good for my skin tone. I love how you know exactly which colours suit you and you don't deviate. Love your take on leopard print.
Thanks. Well, I have my 'favourite' or 'best' colours, and sticking with them makes it easier to mix and match a small wardrobe.
Oh…. this is a gorgeous dress. And suits you so well. You are right, colour you need. So do I. In your next post you talk about a uniform outfit, one you don't have to think about, which always looks good. This dress would serve that morning purpose too. Just grab it, put it on and you are fantastic to go.Greetje
Thanks, Greetje. Yes, you're right, this dress would be easy to slip on, too. It might be a bit much for work, though…
Lovely dress. I just love leopard print in and of all forms. Thanks for linking up to "Bloggers Who Have Inspired Me"Rachel xoGaray Treasures
Thanks, Rachel! I have some leopard print, mostly in colour, though, as I find it easier to wear.
I have a blind spot for leopard … when I consider it, it's not my cup of tea for so many reasons, but you remind me that, in this at least, I'm often wrong!!! You look just terrific and this dress fits you to a T. So right about the color. Very pretty you today (as usual!)
I know, whenever I think of getting leopard print, it just seems so not me… And yet, there are women who look fabulous in leopard print coats etc. I always feel the beige/brown toned leopard print makes me look like a character from a soap opera (and not the glamorous one…). But leopard print and colour, that just might work.
This leopard print dress is in the most beautiful color, you wear it well!Carriecurlycraftymom.com
Thank you, Carrie!
The cut and color of the dress is perfect for you!

You look AMAZING in this dress, Tiina! And it is gorgeous! Yes, animal print does not have to be neutral tones at all – I also love a whimsical bright animal print.
Thanks, Natalia!
