Winter wonderland, my [insert the body part of your choice here]…
You know those lovely, winter-themed fashion photos in magazines? There’s always a pretty girl cavorting in the snow, with her immaculately made up face ‘rosy’ from the ‘cold’, perfectly formed snowflakes decorating her perfectly blowdried hair?
That’s fake. Never happens.
This, my friend, is what real life is like: it’s been snowing for days, and then Mother Nature decides she’s had enough of the cold… cue 0°C (32°F), but it’s still snowing, except that instead of snow you get wet sleet smacked all over your face.
Sure, your hair may not have been perfect when you left home, but it certainly didn’t look like the wet rat you seem to be sporting on you head now. And make up… Well, for once you can be happy you hardly ever wear any; because if you did, by now it would be streaking down your cheeks.
This not not the worst winter weather, though. That will come tomorrow, when the now-very-wet snow freezes over.
If you ask me, spring can’t come soon enough…

wouu, these are the kind of things I don’t miss on snow and sleet, like the ‘hat hair’ or having all my mascara and eyeliner melted when I come in a heated place because my eyelashes were frozen. I don’t miss looking like a raccoon!. Glad that you could avoit it, another advantage of not wearing makeup (totally understand it) and I think that you look cute in your warm coat and cozy jumper, and fab pendant and bag!. Accessories rock!

Thank you! I guess at this point I’ve just had enough of snow; winter lasts months here, and we’re nowhere near spring yet.
So true Tiina! I took photos in the rain the other day – no choice and my hair looked like I’d just been swimming! At least our readers know we are honest eh? Thanks for joining the #chicandstylish #linkup Jacqui Mummabstylish

Weather has a way of messing up our carefully put-together outfits and looks, doesn’t it?
