It’s been a busy couple of weeks… But I guess it’s normal to be a bit tired this time of the year: I’m about to start the last week of work before a long summer break. There are a lot of loose ends to tie, reports to write, papers to mark etc. before I can pack my suitcase and jet off to Homebase 2 later this week… And then to Korea… And then back to Homebase 2… and a few days in Homebase 1, then Homebase 2 again for a while, and then…
Now that I think about it, it looks as if I’m going to be just as busy on holiday as when I’m working, running from one place to another… Maybe I should have my head examined…

Anyway, Professor M and I managed to find time for our customary Saturday dinner at a nice restaurant, and a quick photo shoot on a windy street.
I’ve had this silk kimono (or whatever it is) for years, and I typically only wear it when I have one of my “I have nothing to wear” moments, or when everything I would like to wear is in the laundry… I can’t quite decide if I like it or not, but looking at the pictures it doesn’t look too bad. Maybe I can wear it to work this week…
BTW, if you’re wondering why you never see me in work clothes, there’s a simple explanation: when I started this blog I made a decision that I would not blog about anything work-related, as the blog is supposed to be an outlet for more creative pursuits. And then there’s the fact that my photographer (a.k.a husband / Professor M) is only around at weekends…
The text on the bangle is: “Truly fabulous people never get dressed before lunchtime.” (you can find it here). As busy as I am, I still somehow manage to live by that…
Are you looking forward to some time off from work?

Love your top! I respect you for keeping your work life separate and completely understand.
Thanks! Work is OK, but sometimes a girl needs to play a little, too…
Such a pretty Kimono, and I really like the bracelets too. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
I love your kimono! Beautiful 🙂
Thanks Beata.
Lovely colours in you kimono. The bracelets are great, I too agree with message. Enjoy your travels.
Thanks. Would you believe me if I said that I'm not actually that much into travelling? It's just sort of become a lifestyle by now…
I love the kimono print so pretty!! Creative outlets are a must in my book, I agree :-)From the link up, jessPlease stop byhttp://www.elegantlydressedandstylish.com
Thanks, Jess. I am trying to indulge my creative impulses a bit more these days and find time for hobbies… like this blog.
How could you be unsure of your affections for this sweet little kimono? Clearly she loves you! Really a good look, very of the moment and you treat the little dear well with that slightly tough belt and the pearls. Looking so chic, as always. Really, really gorgeous get-up!
Thanks, Jan. Funny, I've had this kimono for 6-7 years I think, wear a couple of times a year, but I won't get rid of it…
It does look good on you, and the sunglasses gave it a very nice touch.. as for the ring, I like it. 🙂
Thanks, Rachel. I think I agree, it does look good… maybe I should hang on to it a bit longer.
Your accessories are great! Adding a touch of edgy rocker style which I love with the feminine fabric.
Thanks, Joni. Accessories is really my thing, and they can really turn an ordinary outfit into something special…
Very pretty kimono, looks great on you. I like the combination of romantic kimono and the rock-style belt.Greetings from Prague! Stop by….happy to be a part of Share-In-Style.
Thanks, Martina! Yes, I guess I'm more of a rock.chick than a romantic, and this belt is one of my favourite accessories.
I love those bracelets and the texts…my dad would get so annoyed seeing me in my PJs at 11 am or something like that (on the weekends when I wasn't at school or he at work). Now, I get dressed in the morning even if I have to.I don't think I ever posted any 'work outfits' either. That kimono blouse is so lovely!http://modaodaradosti.blogspot.com/
Thanks, Ivana! If I don't have to go to work, I'll be in my pyjama all day…
