Spring Has Arrived

casual wear over 50

So, spring has arrived...

The days are getting longer, and it's getting warmer. Well, a bit warmer. Most of the time. Sort of.

OK, let's try this again...

It's spring!!!

No, nothing is blooming yet. Or maybe, if you look closely, there are tiny leaves (or something that looks like it might become tiny leaves, one day) on trees. Who cares? That's beside the point.

It's all about the light

By now the day is significantly longer than the night: sunrise is well before 6 am  and sunset around 9 pm. You know what that means, right?

The days are getting longer!!! MORE DAYLIGHT HOURS!!!

Sorry, we Finns tend a get a bit crazy in spring. It's the increased light.  Maybe it's a good thing it's not accompanied by exceptionally warm weather. That might be dangerous...

  1. We get funny about the light too. The days getting longer or shorter is a conversation topic. This week we had summer didn't we. Spring back next week

    1. Summer?! Lucky you!
We had sunshine, rain, and cold weather...

  2. Yay for Spring in Scandinavia! I love the long days; I know yours get longer still. You look fresh and lovely, xo

    1. Oh yes, the days are getting longer for another two months or so, till we have barely a few hours of semi-darkness (that's what passes for night in summer).

  3. I like your accessories - your scarf, sunnies and bag! So many beauties!

    1. Thank you, Maureen! I love accessories. Much more than clothes, in fact. I'm a bit weird that way.

  4. Enjoy your Spring weather and those lighter, longer days . You do look like you are making the most of the change with your lighter top and coat.

    1. I love the longer days, but the spring weather hasn't been very impressive so far...

  5. Yes! I am ready for more sunshine and light hours! Love your scarf, you pick the best colors!
    Thanks for linking!

    1. Oh sunshine! I'd welcome some warmer weather, too...
      Thanks, Jessica!

  6. Copenhagen is getting more daylight too, and shorter nights. We are seeing higher temperatures too so how about a small visit to Copenhagen soon? Your colour choices remind me of hyacinths and tulips, perfect, gorgeous spring colours!

    1. Oh, I would love to visit Copenhagen! I've only ever been there once, a few years ago, and it was a very brief visit.

  7. your scarf is so lovely ...
    i followed you ..
keep in touch my dear ...
