What to wear with leopard print shoes?

Impulse buying

can create some wardrobe challenges. What if the fabulous leopard print shoes you just bought match absolutely nothing in your wardrobe?

I'm usually quite a good impulse buyer: I hate looking for specific items, but if I just happen to come across something that I fall in love with, I buy it then and there because I invariably end up wearing it a lot. And this is actually how I do most of my shopping: see something, like it, try it on, like it even more, buy it, mix and match it with everything else in my wardrobe.

So, the other day I saw these leopard print shoes... and loved them , and bought them, and... What the hell am I going to wear them with???

Let's see... I don't really have anything beige or brown (except for two pairs of trousers) in my wardrobe... The obvious thing would be to mix leopard print and Breton stripes, of course (watch this space: it's just a matter of time...), but for now, I'll try the most boring outfit I can think of. You now, to see if the shoes have the magic to lift the entire look to the next level. A tall order, I know...

How do you feel about impulse buying? Does it work for you?

  1. Oh they are cute. No wonder you fell in love with them and bought them. As to what to wear with them - anything! Like metallics, they're classed as neutrals so wear away. Debbie over at fashionfairydust was wearing a leopard print skirt with a breton striped tee only this week. Not quite the same but I have a pair of snakeskin print sandals and I wear them lots with a plain bottom half and a print on the top half.

As to impulse buying - yes, it does work for me. My other half would say it works far too well for me!

    1. Thanks! Leopard is a bit out of my comfort zone, I don't think I have anything else in leopard print.

    1. Yes, they would certainly look great with black... Only I don't really have anything black... Hmm, maybe I need to go shopping...

  5. Leopard print looks great with white trousers or skirts, IMHO. Depending on the tone, it can also look very good with pale pink. They are certainly gorgeous shoes!

  6. Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. These shoes are a great buy. They can give the finishing touch to many looks. I would have bought them right away when they had crossed my way. Perfect to jeans, black pants, toughen up a LBD, and a floral dress or a floral skirt with striped T-shirt. Great buy!

    1. Thanks, Sophia! Impulse shopping always seems to work for me, at least I seem to be wearing the clothes I bought on the spur of the moment quite a lot.
